Walking

If you want something a little more active there are many walks joining up with the Cotswold Way, Severn Way and parts of the National Cycle Route run through some breathtaking scenery, often with a welcoming hostelry enroute!

Cycling

The Berkeley Vale is a great area for cycling as it is a river plain and thus mainly flat.

National Cycle Route 41 runs through Berkeley and cyclists can often be seen here visiting one of our excellent cafes.

Sailing

The area caters for all types of sailing, both inland and coastal, boasting two well established clubs with excellent facilities. Both clubs welcome visitors and are set in idyllic locations.

Canal Boating

There are two major canal systems in the Berkeley Vale area, the Stroudwater Canal, which is part of the Thames Severn Canal (which is in the process of being restored) and the Sharpness/ Gloucester Canal. Further details are found on the links below:
